The Kids Coin Drive for Variety is an annual fundraiser that has just completed its 8th year. It was started by an incredible young fundraiser on Vancouver Island who had been helped by Variety and wanted to make sure Variety would always be there for any child who needed assistance. What began as a penny drive in an elementary school has since become a province-wide campaign that has raised over a million dollars! Jeneece’s amazing spirit has inspired other kids around the province, all who have been helped by Variety, to take part and fundraise on behalf of children.
The 8th Annual Kids Coin Drive for Variety ran from September 1st until October 31st, 2009. We are currently counting all our change but stay tuned for this years total! A big thank you to title sponsor Marketplace IGA as well as Global BC, Lifelabs, BMO, G4S and The Ocean. Thanks also to our many drop off locations around the province.
